This is an excellent example of a desirable pre-war Swedish commercial contract Walther Model HP pistol that is complete with an original Swedish brown leather holster. These early pre-war Walther HP pistols have the beautiful early high polish, commercial blue finish. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner, "Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis (Thur)/Walther's Patent Cal 9mm", and "Mod HP". These early Walthers have the a commercial "crown/N" proof on the right side of the slide and frame and also on the right side of the barrel lug. It is correctly serial numbered on the inside rear area of the slide, the front of the barrel, lug, the left side of the magazine. The locking block is numbered "825". It has the correct external extractor. The pistol has the flat safety lever, narrow rear sight and checkered takedown lever with square firing pin. The checkered black bakelite grips are distinctly a Swedish pattern, and each one is marked on the inside with four mold or proofmarks as follows: small circle with "CEWE", "480" maker's mark, a small "V7/Z3" all in one proof over "1". It is complete with the original matching Swedish contract magazine, numbered "1825" on the lower left side. As noted this desirable contract pistol comes with a unmarked brown commercial leather holster as issued for these early commercial pistols.

Excellent with 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with some very minor scratches on the front strap. The grips are in excellent condition with only very minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The holster is in very fine condition with most of medium brown color overall showing only a hint of scuffing on the edges with all the stitching intact. This is an excellent example of a desirable pre-war Swedish contract Walther HP pistol.
