Description:

Introduced in 1911 for issue to cavalry troops. Blade front and short staff folding rear sights, with a lightly struck mum and the arsenal mark (no series stamp) on the left side of the receiver next to the serial number. Fitted with a 13 1/2 inch triangular spike bayonet, smooth pistol grip stock, and a smooth buttplate with a small storage compartment. Assembly number 356 is stamped on bolt, floorplate, rear sight ladder, and bayonet adapter.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% of the blue showing some light spotting and handling marks overall. The stock is fine with scattered gouges, dents, scuffs and dings. The mum is partially obliterated. Mechanically excellent.
