Description:

1) Weyersberg/Horstmann Damascus-Pattern Sword, 39 inches overall with a 33 inch straight single fuller blade decorated with a damascus pattern on the upper half and gold washed etching on the lower half, with vine work on the flat spine and the etched Horstmann address over the stamped Weyersberg logo on the right side. The hilt is silver finished brass, with a folding counter-guard and a ribbed metal grip. 2) Unmarked Ball-Guard Sword, 38 inches overall with a 32 inch blade, decorated with gold washed etching on niter blue fields, and fitted with a gilt brass hilt with ball accents on the branch and knuckle guard, a pillow-shaped pommel and a ribbed antique ivory grip.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good with mild spotting and handling marks overall. 2) Fine with a mixed patina and spotting on the blade, around 70% of the niter blue finish, 60% of the gilt, and some chipping and cracks on the grip.
