Description:

The lot consists of two detachable shoulder stocks. The first is a reproduction unmarked model 1900 flat board style with a blue attaching iron and a straw colored catch. The attaching iron is unlike the more standard model and utilizes a push button spring catch as opposed to the more common toggle. The second stock is truly unique; it features a stamped sheet metal body with three selectable lengths. The telescoping stock is locked in place using a zinc toggle and is very similar in function to modern collapsible stocks found on many popular sporting arms and military rifles. Fitted with a serrated, cupped sheet metal buttplate. The stock also has the ability to function as a holster with wooden spacer in the inner recess to hold the pistol as the stock is collapsed and locked into position and appears to have sufficient space for standard up through artillery barrel lengths. The left side of the stock is fitted with a belt clip. Similar examples have been pictured in books and theorized to have been intended for flight crews.

Rating Definition:

The wooden stock is very fine with scattered small dings and handling marks on the wood and strong original finish on the attaching iron. The metal stock is fine with 50% of the black finish, handling marks, spotting, and a mottled gray/brown patina on the balance.
