Description:

Webley's first semi-automatic pistol, the overall design and ergonomics of the Model 1905 would influence many of the firms full sized and pocket model handguns. This particular 1905 shows such early features as a contoured ejector port and chamber in the area of the ejector and a hammer mounted safety switch, both of which would be eliminated from later 1905s and not passed on to its successors. Blade front and notch rear sights, "WEBLEY & SCOTT Ltd/BIRMINGHAM/765m/m &.32 AUTOMATIC PISTOL" on the left side of the slide, "crown/BV" proofs on the slide, barrel and frame, and "crown/BP", "crown/NH" and ".32"" on the chamber. Fitted with a ring hammer, smooth trigger, and a pair of checkered grips.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 85% of the period refinished blue finish, showing some light scratches and handling marks overall, along with a few hints of a brown patina. Mechanically needs extensive work as the hammer does not catch on the sear. Grips are also very good, with a few scratches and dings.
