Dated 1940 on top of the chamber and marked "42" on the toggle, with "eagle/655" proofs on the extension and barrel, and "eagle/swastika" firing proofs on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Finish is full blue, including the small components. External numbers are matching overall, including both of the renumbered blue finished alloy base magazines (with one marked with a "+"). With a brown leather flap holster marked "FR.OFFERMANN&SOHNE/BENSBERG/1940" on the back, "SGT.H.A.Martin" hand-written inside the flap, and a takedown tool. Sergeant Martin has not been identified.

Very fine with 98% of the restored blue, showing a few areas of brown patina, bright edge wear, and minor handling marks. The grips are very good, with a few dark spots and crisp checkering. The holster is fine with a stretched belt loop, scuffing and cracking. Mechanically excellent.
