This is a fine example of a late DWM Model 1908, pre-WWI Imperial German Luger dated 1913. It has the correct DWM logo on the front toggle and the right side of the barrel extension stamped with the standard three crown over script letter proofs followed by the imperial eagle proof. The imperial eagle proof is also marked on the top rear of the barrel and left side of the breechblock. It is fitted with a hold open device and it is numbered in the military style serial number placement with the full serial number (4512) on the major components and the last two digits (12) on the various smaller parts. It is fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips and come with a tin-plated WWI type magazine with the restamped wooden base that is stamped "4512/a/+" with no proof mark.

Very fine with 95% of the original blue with only minor edge and high spot wear. The refinished straw colors remain nearly all intact. The grips are in excellent condition with nice sharp original checkering on both sides. Mechanically excellent.
