The included Colt factory letter identifies this revolver by its serial number as a display piece and sample special issue revolver kept by the Colt factory. The letter also confirms the caliber, barrel length, Python style barrel marked "CUSTOM COBRA" on the left side and caliber, maker and address markings on the right, bright stainless steel finish with royal blue accents including the cylinder release, wide spur hammer and wide grooved trigger, Rampant Colt logo on side plate, and varnished checkered rosewood wraparound grips with gold Rampant Colt medallions. Blade front sight with serrated orange insert and adjustable rear sight outlined in white.

Excellent. 99% plus original bright stainless and royal blue finish remains with some scattered minor handling marks, a minor cylinder drag line, and some light scratches. The grips are excellent with almost all of the varnish remaining and a few minor handling marks and a few dings along the low edges. The checkering is sharp.
