As confirmed by the included factory letter, this nickel plated Colt Python revolver has a factory dull blue hammer and trigger and was a sample for this type of finish kept by the Colt factory. The special dull blue factory finish is also confirmed by the included factory yellow tag which has the handwritten notation "DULL BLUE HAM & TRIG/SAMPLE GUN/HOLD FOR MARKETING APPROVAL" above the date "4/17/84" and factory worker initials "RMG." The factory letter also confirms the caliber, barrel length and grips. The revolver was released from the factory inventory in 2008. The revolver features standard factory markings, adjustable rear sight and checkered varnished grips with gold plated Rampant Colt medallions.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus of the original nickel and dull blue finishes showing some scattered minor handling marks and noticeable cylinder drag line.
