Description:

Manufactured in 1956, the second year of production, is revolver is consecutively numbered to the next lot. It has the standard markings and features, and comes with a matching numbered factory black box with appropriate end label and factory papers. Only 2,881 revolvers in this configuration were manufactured between 1955 and 1975. The .38 Special revolvers dropped in popularity after the .357 Magnum was offered in the Second Generation lineup in 1960.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% plus of the original blue and casehardened finish, slight cylinder drag lines, and general light handling and storage mark. The box is good with taped repairs on the front corners and mild edge wear.
