Manufactured in 1958. Single steel bead sight on the barrel with a 3 inch chamber and modified choke. The barrel has standard markings and the top of the barrel and receiver are stamped with the Winchester oval "WP" proof at the breech. Mounted on a highly figured diamond pattern checkered forearm and straight grip stock with a checkered Winchester buttplate. The shotgun is consecutively numbered to the next Model 42 shotgun in this auction. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/8 inches; length of pull 13 7/8 inches.

Fine as professionally refinished and wood upgraded. 90% of the blue finish remains with light handling marks. The custom wood very good with intense figure, scattered small indentations, a 1 inch indentation on the right side of the forearm, standing slightly proud to the metal at the frame/stock junction, and a deep oil finish. Mechanically excellent.
