Description:

1) Eagle Head Pommel Sword, measuring 38 1/4 inches overall, with a 32 3/4 inch long curved single fuller blade, decorated with niter blue panels across 2/3rds of the length, with a mix of bright and gold washed etching in a mixture of scroll, martial and patriotic themes. The hilt is silver finished, with a "screaming eagle" pommel and a ribbed carved bone grip. 2) 1902 Officer's Sword, 37 1/2 inches overall with a 32 inch etched and gold washed blade, engraved silver finished pommel, ribbed grip and a nickel finished scabbard with floral engraved silver fittings.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good with a missing scabbard. The blade shows about half of the original finish, with areas of wear and spotting. The grip shows an even mix of well aged silver and brass, with an old re-broken repair on the knuckle bow, play in the fittings and a crack down the right side of the grip. 2) Fine, with some mild wear overall, flaking of the nickel and silver, and some flattening of the guard branches. The blade is excellent.
