The frame has "COLTS/PATENT" on the left, and the trigger guard has a "K" and "G" on the left. The matching serial number is marked on the loading lever, barrel, wedge, cylinder, cylinder pin, frame, trigger guard, back strap, and back strap inlet on the grip.

Fair. The bright iron surfaces have gray patina and mild to moderate pitting. The grip frame retains 30% of the original silver plating and has aged patinas on the brass and silver. The grip has some dents and scrapes throughout, small chips at the toe, edge wear, and a small hairline crack to the left of the butt. It remains mechanically fine. It has crisp markings on most of the components; however, the cylinder which has some faded markings but displays most of the scene.
