Description:

Manufactured in the 1890s. Standard markings, with floral engraving on the barrel and frame, and knurling around the edge of the side plate. Grip panels are checkered hard rubber. Included with the pistol is a brown wood grain box, which is hand numbered to match on the bottom. The original box label has been overlaid with an Ames Sword picture label. The instruction label on the interior also bears the Ames address, and a Chicago Firearms addressed parts list is inside.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% plus original nickel finish overall showing some light handling marks and a small amount of spotting overall and some light flaking on the trigger. The grips are excellent with a small dent on the side plate panel. The box is fine with the lower right corner of the Ames label absent, exposing the original label and some mild edge wear. Mechanically excellent.
