Manufactured in 1899. Dovetailed blade front and notch rear sights, Rampant Colt marked on the left side of the frame and barrel marked with the two-line address/patent date information (top flat) and "22 Cal." (upper left flat). Mounted on a double line border incised forearm and smooth straight grip stock with hard rubber buttplate with embossed Rampant Colt.

Very fine. The rifle retains 95% plus of the bright original blue finish showing some minor thinning to brown (mostly on the frame). There are a couple of patches of light pitting (top of the frame and on dust cover). The forearm has a few light handling marks. The refinished stock is fine and has some scattered minor handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. A minor chip is missing from the buttstock at the toe. Mechanically excellent.
