Manufactured in 1859. The top of the barrel is marked "-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY-," and the left side of the frame is marked "COLTS/PATENT". All of the complete and partial serial numbers match. The cylinder is missing the Texas Ranger and Indian battle scene, but the serial number is visible. Brass blade front and hammer notch rear sights. Fitted with a smooth one piece walnut grip. Comes with an unmarked early 20th century basket weave tooled single loop holster that fits the revolver well.

Fair. The metal surfaces have a gray patina with scattered pin prick type pitting. The brass has an aged patina and shows some minor dents. The replacement grip is excellent with only light handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is fine. The holster is good with some moderate wear and staining. The stitching on the loop is beginning to separate; otherwise, it is tight.
