Colt's Third Model Derringer was the most popular of their three .41 rimfire pocket pistols. Around 48,000 were manufactured between 1870 and 1912. It was initially advertised as "Colts New Deringer." This example has the standard later markings and features as well as small British proofmarks on the bottom of the barrel.

Exceptionally fine. 80% plus of the original blue finish and 98% plus of the original nickel plating remain. The barrel has some fading, brown patina, and mild pitting mostly concentrated on the right side. The hammer has light case colors, and the trigger retains 30% of the original niter blue finish. The grips are excellent and have minor handling and storage marks.
