Only 200 National Arms Co. Second Model derringers were produced with short 2 inch barrels between 1865 and 1870. The top of the rarely seen 2 inch barrel is marked "NATIONAL ARMS Co. BROOKLYN, NY". The front of the "N" is under the front sight and half of the "Y" is off the end of the barrel. The revolver features the standard factory scrollwork engraving with the geometric line engraving on the back strap. Fitted with checkered grips.

Very good plus. The pistol has a mottled gray patina with traces of original blue and silver finishes in the protected areas. The revarnished grips are good with a crack on the right pane, some high edge wear and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
