The heavy octagon barrel has a ramped removable bead front sight with wings, sling swivel on the bottom flat, and 5 1/2 inch dovetail quarter rib on the top near the breech. The receiver features detailed floral scroll engraving with a cherub on the right side holding a target and broad leafy floral designs on the left. The top of the receiver is marked "HAENEL ORIGINAL AYDT" with fine gold wire inlay. The left side of the breechblock is marked "ORIGINAL/SYST-AYDT/11107". The underside, tangs, and trigger plate are similarly engraved, and the lever/trigger guard has a grotesque face. The upper tang is fitted with the original elevation adjustable peep sight on a wide oval base. Smooth Schnabel tip forearm and checkered Swiss style stock with wide cheekpiece, checkered grip section, sling swivel, single hook buttplate numbered "11135" and a nicely done deep carved "KY" into the toe of the stock (initials of original owner).

Good with a refinished barrel which has a dark patina, shows signs of having been cleaned. The receiver retains 70% original case colors mixed with a smooth mottled brownish patina. The lever/trigger guard and buttplate have a smooth dark patina. The wood is also good with some scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. There is a small gap between the buttplate and stock at the toe (wood dry-out). The markings and engraving are clear. The action is fine.
