A takedown variant of the Type 99 Arisaka designed to be carried disassembled by paratroopers when jumping and then put together on the ground. Features blade front and folding rear sights with anti-aircraft wings, a ground mum on the receiver, "980" assembly numbered takedown hardware, smooth pistol grip stock with cupped buttplate, and the matching partial serial number "047" on the bayonet lug, barrel and bolt.

Fine with 80% of the original blue finish, areas of brown patina, and mild handling marks. The stock also fine with scattered gouges, dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
