The left rear upper flat is marked with an eagle and "crown/N" proof followed by "Nitro". The top of the receiver is marked "GEHA - ORIGINAL - AYDT". The upper right front of the receiver is marked with a "crown/N", "crown/B" and "crown/U" proofmarks. Date of proof is APR 1927 (4.27). Adjustable tang sight mounted on an oval base with an iris type adjustable aperture. Adjustable double triggers, removable trigger group, and checkered forearm and Tyrolean cheekpiece stock with a right hand thumb rest, sling swivel and single hook iron schuetzen style buttplate.

Very good. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish with some scattered minor spotting. The receiver retains 95% original bright case colors. The lever/trigger guard has a mix of brown and silver gray patina with some case colors in protected areas. There is some light oxidation on the lower tang. The buttplate has a smooth mottled brown patina. The wood is also very good with a 2 inch repaired crack on the upper left rear of the forearm, several small pressure dents on the underside of the thumb rest, and overall a few minor dings and handling marks. The checkering is crisp. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
