Description:

Introduced in 1910 with fixed sights, the 2-line address/patent dates on the slide, Belgian proofs, and checkered "FN" grips. The pistol includes a Japanese style brown leather flap holster with an extra magazine. The holster has two brass suspension loops on the back and an improvised/repaired belt loop. High ranking officers in the Japanese military often privately purchased their own sidearms, and the Browning 1910 was also known to have been purchased by the Japanese government. The writer believes this example to be one of those.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 95% plus original rust blue finish remains with light handling marks overall, traces of pin point spotting, crisp markings, and mild cycling marks. The grips are very fine with sharp checkering and some small dings. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good as modified with age cracking, scuffs, generally tight stitching, an aged patina on the brass, and the above mentioned added belt loop.
