The #1 pistol in China during its day, the Broomhandle was in such demand that a variety of local smiths stepped up to meet the demand of those who couldn't find or afford an authentic Mauser or Astra as well as take advantage of those who didn't know a Mauser from a "WAUSER", such as this example. Patterned directly off the Mauser Bolo, but the markings are one step above gibberish (Wauser, Obncefreskenfkr, etc.). Fitted with a pair of ribbed grips.

Very fine with 80% of the original blue finish, a few areas of brown spotting, mild edge wear, and scattered handling marks. The grips are also very fine with a few dings and chips. Mechanically functions; however, we wish to remind the bidder that the pistol is sold with no guarantee of shoot ability, and that firing a Chinese copy pistol is an exercise for the brave, the foolish, and those hiding behind a pile of sandbags with the frame clamped to the bench and a remote line on the trigger.

Manufactured from 1921 to 1930. Groove sights, with the Oberndorf address and "W.T.P. - 6,35 - D.R.P.u.A.P." on the left side of the slide and a checkered wraparound Mauser banner grip.

Very good with 80% of the reblued finish showing a bright scratch on the right side of the slide, some mild edge wear, handling marks and spotting overall. The grip is good as oversized with a chip absent from the left side at the toe. Mechanically very good.
