Once the oldest sporting goods/import house of New York, Von Lengerke & Detmold was bought out by Abercrombie & Fitch around 1928. Blade front and thousand-yard tangent rear sights, with the Mauser address on top of the chamber and on the right side of the frame, a small "antler" stamp on the chamber opposite a "crown/crown/U", and "VON LENGERKE/& DETMOLD/NEW-YORK" on the left side of the receiver. The "NEW-YORK" line has been partially defaced. Matching numbers are present on the barrel, follower, floorplate, bolt, small ring hammer, hammer housing and frame, with a niter blue safety and extractor, lanyard ring, and 33-groove grips.

Fine, with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing bright wear along the high edges, mild pitting on the front edge of the floorplate, a brown patina in the removed/defaced "NEW-YORK" area, and mild spotting and handling marks overall. 70% of the original niter blue finish is present, with some mild wear on the extractor and bright overall, and 60% of the straw finish remains on the rigger. The grips are also very fine, with some mild dings. Mechanically excellent.
