The action is engraved with Germanic leaf patterns and a scene with a cherub on the right. "HAENEL ORIGINAL AYDT" is inlaid in gold on the top. The barrel and breechblock have matching serial numbers. The front sight is partially absent, and the rear sight has been replaced with a Lyman 66A peep sight with a base designed to fit into the integral base on the upper tang. It has double set triggers, an original forearm, and an interesting Tyrolean style replacement buttstock with bare butt with separate wood Swiss hook.

Fine as altered. The barrel retains 75% of the original blue finish, and the action has mostly silvered out. The forearm is very good and has some scratches and dings. The buttstock is roughly finished but could be sanded and finished to match the forearm and fitted with a proper buttplate. It is mechanically fine and has crisp markings and engraving patterns.
