This classic schuetzen rifle features: a post front sight on a ramped base with partial globe, flared upper flat on the rear section of the barrel rear sight or scope mounting, "C. G. HAENEL. SUHL" at the breech, "HAENEL-ORIGINAL-AYDT" on top of the receiver, standard pre-war German proofmarks, light border engraving, forearm with panel of checkering on the bottom at the rear, double set triggers, diopter rear sight on an integral base, extended trigger guard/lever, sling swivels, and a Tyrolean style buttstock with large cheekpiece, checkering, scroll carving, thumb rest, and single hook buttplate.

Very fine with 95% plus of the blue refinish on the barrel, 90% plus of the current case colors, some spots of fading on the receiver, patches of protective coating, and very light spotting. The is also very fine and has crisp checkering and carving, a subtle parting line on the thumb rest, and minor scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
