Description:

This is an excellent example of a mid-production DWM Model 1908 Commercial Luger in the desirable 9 mm Luger cartridge. The recognized serial number range for 1908 Commercial Lugers is approximately 39000 to 71500. It has a blank chamber area with the "DWM" logo on top of the toggle. The left side of the barrel extension, breechblock, and underside of the barrel have the early/standard commercial "Crown/B and U" acceptance proofs with the underside of the barrel also having the "Crown/G" firing proof. The front of the frame and underside of the barrel both have the full serial number. It has the commercial style serial numbering with the last two digits (52) stamped on the various parts. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered commercial checkered walnut grips and comes with a tin-plated commercial magazine with an unmarked wooded base. It has the commercial quality blued finish on the various parts with the straw colored trigger, takedown lever, magazine catch button, safety lever and ejector.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% plus of the original blue finish overall with high spot holster wear visible on the, side plate and muzzle. The smaller parts retain 70% of their original straw colors overall. The grips are in very fine condition with showing crisp original checkering on both sides mixed with minor dings in the diamonds with a couple of minor pressure dents on the lower right side. Mechanically very excellent.
