Dated "1939" over the chamber and marked "S/42" on the top of the toggle. Two "eagle/63" proofs and the spread winged eagle firing proof appear on the right side of the chamber, with the latter also appearing on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. A smaller "eagle/63" is on the upper left rear of the barrel. The upper safety area and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. The magazine is nickel finished with a "5835/b" marked aluminum base; the rest of the externally visible serial numbers are a match to the frame. Overall finish is full-blue, and the grips are checkered.

Very fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the grip straps, bright edge wear, and scattered spotting and handling marks. The grips are fine, with a chip absent near the safety and some mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
