Manufactured in 1943. Checkered slide catch, safety lever, and magazine catch, wide checkered hammer, and an arched checkered mainspring housing with a lanyard loop. The chamber area of the barrel is marked with standard British tonnage and nitro proofs. The slide is stamped with a small "P" on top just forward of the rear sight and a "crown/BNP" nitro proof on the right side. The right side of the frame has standard U.S. Property/model/serial number markings, a crossed cannons Ordnance Department stamp and British proofs. The right side of the frame has the standard Colt triangle "VP" proof on the trigger guard, "G.H.D." inspection mark under the slide catch, British broad arrow marking, and a "P" inspection mark below the magazine catch. Fitted with checkered plastic grips with reinforcing ribs and rings around the screws.

Excellent with 95% plus of the original parkerized finish, numerous small handling scuff marks, light nicks, and crisp markings. The grips are also excellent with handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
