Description:

Manufactured in 1918. Slide has the two-line, two-block address and patent dates along with the Rampant Colt on the left side and "MODEL OF 1911. U.S.ARMY" on the right. The left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "eagle head/S8," and the chamber of the barrel is marked "P/H." Wide knurled hammer, short grip safety, flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple, long smooth trigger, checkered slide catch and thumb safety, checkered grips with diamond flats, and an unmarked two-tone magazine.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed gray and brown patina on the frame, concentrated in the grip area, with lesser areas of gray on the top of the slide and around the serrations, bright edge wear, scattered spotting, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are good, with some mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
