Manufactured in 1943. Fitted with fixed blade front and WWII style adjustable rear peep sights with the locking knob on the windage drum. The Springfield M1D barrel is dated "8-52" and has the correct integral scope mounting block. The trigger group has an International Harvester housing and Winchester hammer. The barrel is mounted with a Weaver M84 scope marked with the serial number "37070". The scope has an extending front sun shield and standard adjustment turrets. Mounted on an unmarked, oil finished, straight grain walnut pistol grip stock and handguard set. Includes a leather sling.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and converted to M1D sniper configuration. 98% of the parkerized finish remains with some small areas of color variance around the receiver heel, light handling marks, and clear markings. The wood is very fine with light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The optics are slightly blurry.
