Manufactured in 1943. the Standard Products Company of Port Clinton, Ohio, produced just under 250,000 carbines, representing only 4% of total war time carbine manufacture from the ten primary contractors. This original carbine features fixed blade front and correct "L" type two leaf rear sights, Marlin barrel, two rivet handguard, flat top bolt, unmarked push button safety, and a stamped and brazed trigger guard. Fitted with a low wood stock and type 1 barrel band, single Ordnance Department crossed cannon marking on the right side of the stock, and a stamped checkered buttplate. Includes a green canvas web sling. The magazine is absent.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 90% original dark war time parkerized finish remains with some light spotting on the barrel, handling marks overall, and cycling marks on the original blued bolt and receiver rails. The wood is very fine with scattered shallow gouges, small dings, clear markings, and a mottled brown/gray patina on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
