Description:

Manufactured as part of the final serial number block for 1912, the introductory year for Colt's famous 1911/Government Model series of pistols. Blade and round top notch sights, with the two-line, two-block patent dates (1897, 1902, 1905 and 1911) and address on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt behind the serrations and "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY" (serifed) on the right side. The left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "WGP" (Penfield), with a long trigger, wide checkered hammer, short grip safety, flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple, checkered grips with screw flats, two-tone pinned base magazine with lanyard loop and a full blue barrel marked "P/H" on top of the chamber.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as professionally restored overall with 98% of the quality refinished blue with minor takedown line on the frame and some light handling marks overall. The grips are in equal condition with a few tiny chips and dings on the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
