Manufactured in 1943. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block Colt address and patent markings on the left side of the matching numbered slide, "P" on top and a "GHD" inspected frame with "X/VP" and "23" marked trigger guard. Fitted with a milled short trigger, wide hammer, checkered magazine release, slide catch and thumb safety, long grip safety, checkered arched mainspring housing, checkered Rampant Colt medallion grips, post-war commercial magazine and "COLT 45 AUTO" barrel.

Very fine with 85% plus of the original parkerized finish showing some bright edge wear, a brown patina in the grip area, minor takedown lines and some light spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are very fine later production commercial replacements with a few light dings. Mechanically excellent.
