The Inland barrel is dated "12-44". The carbine has mostly replacement early features including the type 2 wide barrel band, 2-rivet handguard, high wood stock, flat bolt, smooth push button safety, "M" marked magazine catch, and two leaf "L" shaped rear peep sights. The inside of the forend is correctly stamped "IO". There are no visible markings on the grip. Fitted with a folding wire stock with the correct checkered cast metal buttplate with the correct casting numbers on the interior. Includes a green canvas web sling.

Fine as arsenal refurbished, assembled and placed in the paratrooper configuration. 90% of the post-war gray/green parkerized finish remains with some areas of high point and edge wear. Wear markings on the barrel indicate it was at one point fitted with a type 3 barrel band/bayonet lug. The wood is about good with two reglued hairline cracks visible at the left rear, handling marks, and scattered small indentations. Mechanically excellent.
