Manufactured in late 1942 or early 1943. The barrel features a single steel bead sight, standard maker and model markings on the left side, a 2 3/4 inch chamber and cylinder choke. The top of the barrel is stamped with the Ordnance Department flaming bomb and the oval Winchester "WP" proof. The top of the receiver is also stamped with the "WP" proof. The right side of the receiver is correctly stamped with the "U.S./flaming bomb" property mark. Mounted on an 18 groove slide handle and pistol grip stock. The buttstock has been stamped with a boxed "W.B." inspection cartouche and the Ordnance Department flaming bomb. Fitted with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches.

Very good as refinished with 85% of the gray parkerized finish remaining. Light pitting is visible under the finish. Displaying handling marks, light spotting, areas of light thinning, and the Winchester barrel proof has been double struck. The wood is very good with 1 1/2 inch hairline stress cracks at the frame junction, clear markings, handling marks, and scattered small indentations. Mechanically excellent.
