Manufactured in 1926. Single steel bead sight on rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC STEEL," 2 3/4 inch chambers, single extractor, improved cylinder/improved modified chokes, and standard G grade engraving of pheasants, ducks and flourishes of floral scroll on the balance. Dual triggers, tang mounted automatic thumb safety, multi-point checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with Parker Brothers hard rubber grip cap, blank initial shield, and checkered Parker Brothers "dogs head" buttplate. The right side of the buttstock has an inset silver plaque inscribed "RUSSELL WALDO ANDERSON/FROM/CHURCHILLS LANDING COMMUNITY/FOR RESCUE FROM DROWNING/OF/RODERICK HEMAN McGEE/AUGUST-9-1926". The barrel and stock dimensions are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .735/.735 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .0475/.0475 inch; drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 3 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Very good as refinished overall with most of the blue on the barrels. Displaying mild surface pitting throughout under the blue, light handling marks, and traces of edge wear at the breech. The receiver has a cleaned silver/gray patina with clear markings and engraving. The refinished wood is very good with handling marks, well-defined checkering, and some small dings. The buttplate is a replacement that lacks the point at the top and has a piece of triangular gutta percha inletted in its place. Mechanically excellent.
