Manufactured in 1947. Features a single brass bead sight on the matted solid rib barrels with the Field Grade markings on top of the right barrel and a one piece extractor. The frame is finely casehardened, with "L.C. SMITH" on the side plates, double triggers, and an automatic safety. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a plastic grip cap and a serrated plastic buttplate. Measurements: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech right .726/left .726 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech right .052/left .052 inch; muzzle diameter right .705/left .692 inch(approximately modified/extra full); chamber 2 3/4 inches; drop at comb 1 1/4 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 inches; cast neutral; toe in; weight 7 pounds 5.2 ounces.

Very good with 95% of the current blue showing some mild dings and scratches overall along with hints of a brown patina on the sides. Over 90% of the original case colors are present on the frame and lock plates with some silvering on the edges and underside. The stock is very good, with some dings and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
