This is an excellent example of an early 20th century commercial production Colt DA Army and Navy revolver fitted with a round blade front and frame notch rear sights. The barrel is marked on top with the two-line address/patent date stamping and "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. The cylinder latch, crane and yoke are marked with the assembly number "4505", and the serial number is on the butt. The hammer top is a brilliant niter blue with polished sides. The trigger is also a niter blue finish. Fitted with checkered hard rubber "COLT" marked grips.

Excellent overall with 97% of the bright original high polish blue finish, areas of light high point and edge wear, surface scratches, light spotting and general handling marks. The grips are excellent with sharp checkering and light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
