Description:

The Model two was manufactured from 1873 until the early 1900s. This example is chambered for .25-20 W.C.F., a cartridge best suited for varmint hunting and target shooting. It has a beaded blade front sight, adjustable "U" notch sporting rear sight, smooth stock and forearm, "REMINGTON ARMS CO, ILION. N.Y." on top of the barrel, the patent dates on the left side of the action, and "25-20," "P," and "A" on the bottom of the barrel.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 70% of the blue finish remains, and the frame and buttplate have traces of original case colors and primarily gray-brown patina. The wood is fine with scattered small dings and scratches. The action is mechanically fine. Most of the markings are clear.
