This rifle has a ramped blade front sight, two leaf (one standing, one folding) express rear sight on a matted solid rib. The top of the rib is marked "SAFARI .375 H&H No. 4", and the left barrel is marked with the standard Gunsouth import and Merkel address. The barrel rib has been fitted with scope mounts and a Swarovski Habicht 1.25-4x24 scope with an illuminated reticle. A sling swivel is on the bottom rib. The scroll engraved Anson & Deely scalloped box lock action has an African elephant in a field scene on the right side and a cape buffalo in a stand of scrub brush on the left. The left side is signed "SS" for Master Engraver Sebastian Scheerschmidt. The engraving design extends to the trigger guard, break lever, and forearm knuckle, and a decorative simple line and zigzag design is on the forearm release assembly. It also features side clips, cocking indicators, double triggers, and a tang safety. Mounted with extra fancy, straight grain, checkered English walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a black plastic grip cap, cheek piece, serrated Merkel buttplate, and sling swivel. Includes the original box numbered to the gun. Stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Near new in box with only light handling marks overall. The optics are very clear. The box is very good with storage marks and some edge and corner wear.
