The guns in this set each have individual barrel lengths. The longest is 5 1/2 inches, and the shortest is just 2 inches. The two longest barreled revolvers and the shortest have black powder style frames while the remaining two have the cross pin design. Each of the revolvers is finished in full royal blue and has walnut grips with gold Colt medallions and blind screws. Interestingly, the barrel markings are not consistent throughout: three have "SAA" markings (A, D & E), one has a "STOREKEEPER'S" marking, (B) and one has a "SHERIFF'S MODEL ©" marking. The use of one or two-line markings was determined by the barrel lengths. Some of the barrel markings are also not centered. The bottom of the frames have unique Sheriff's model serial numbers. All start with "016SE" and then are numbered based on their length ("2," "25," "3," "4," and "55"). The back of the frames, grip straps, grips, and cylinders have matching serial numbers in the standard 3rd Generation range that all match. The revolvers include the original Colt picture boxes, hang tags, and papers.
