Manufactured from 1907 to 1915 within the serial number range 1 to 15,375. It has the desirable triple lock, Patridge blade front and fully adjustable rear notch sights, desirable 6 1/2 inch barrel with the two-line address/patent marking and "44 S&W SPECIAL CTG", S&W trademark on the right side plate of the 5-screw frame, matching assembly number on the cylinder and frame, "14222" inside the ejector shroud, smooth grip straps, checkered hammer, checkered cylinder latch, smooth trigger, and checkered diamond pattern grips with a square butt and inset S&W monogram medallions.

Very fine with 95% of the blue finish, replaced barrel, scattered light edge wear, handling marks, and a drag line on the cylinder. The grips are very fine with well-defined checkering and some small indentations. Mechanically excellent.
