Manufactured in 1932, and shipped as a single item to Albany Hardware & Iron Company of Albany, New York on June 16, 1932. The barrel is marked with "COLT SHOOTING MASTER .38" on the left and the two-line address/patent dates on the top. Features a period replacement adjustable oversize Partridge front sight and adjustable target rear sight. The frame is marked with the Rampant Colt, and the Colt "VP" triangle proof is marked on the lower left side directly above the trigger guard bow with "3" at the rear. Checkered trigger, hammer, front and back straps. The hammer has polished sides. Fitted with checkered grips with silver Colt medallions. Includes an unmarked woodgrain storage box.

Very fine with 95% plus original blue finish, scattered small handling marks, traces of edge wear, and a faint cylinder drag line. The sights appear to be after market. The oversize replacement grips are also excellent with light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with corner and edge wear and some tape damage.
