Manufactured in 1913. Elevation adjustable front and windage adjustable rear sights, with the two-line address/patent dates on top of the barrel, "+OFFICERS MODEL 38+" on the left and the Rampant Colt on the left side of the flat top frame. A six-pointed star is struck on the right rear shoulder of the trigger guard. Hammer, trigger and back strap are checkered, with silver Rampant Colt medallions on the checkered walnut grips.

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing some thinning of the blue on the sides of the barrel, light spotting concentrated on the cylinder, bright gray along the edges and scattered handling marks. Strong niter blue is visible on the sides of the trigger and rear of the hammer, with some fading and spotting. Grips are fine with some dings on the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
