Manufactured in 1939, this revolver is documented as being part of a 400-piece shipment to the government of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on January 18th, 1941. The intended use of these revolvers is unknown, and additional research may turn up an interesting history. Elevation adjustable front blade and windage adjustable rear notch sights, flat top frame, un-shrouded ejector rod and checkered trigger and hammer spur. The barrel has the two-line address/patent dates on top and the Officer's Model Heavy Barrel legend on the left side. The Rampant Colt appears on the left side plate. Fitted with checkered Colt medallion grips. With a brown leather flap holster and factory box renumbered to the gun.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish with a couple patches of gray on the cylinder and a few scattered minor handling marks. The grips are also excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine showing some flex wear and minor handling/storage marks with tight stitching. The box is fine showing some very scattered wear. Most of the label remains.
