Manufactured in 1931, this revolver was part of an order of 12 shipped to Sing Sing Prison of Ossining, New York on February 27, 1931, with the 45 ACP chambering, barrel length and finish verified. Features the standard two-line address and patent dates on top of the barrel, "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT" on the left side of the barrel, standard blade and frame notch sights, and the Rampant Colt on the left side plate. Fitted with a set of checkered grips with inset silver Colt medallions. Cylinder is a 45 ACP replacement with the face polished to accept 45 auto rim cartridges.

Fine as assembled with 70% of the blue remaining. Displaying variances of color between the frame, barrel, and cylinder, mild high point and edge wear, surface scratches, handling marks, and a small cylinder drag line. The grips are slightly undersized at the tops and have handling marks and small dings throughout. Mechanically excellent.
