The included Colt factory letter confirms that this pistol was a sample and display piece kept by the Colt factory, finish, Delta logo pebble grain black rubber wraparound grips, caliber, barrel length and maroon box with handwritten notations "Archives" and "Inv#/94125" on the label. It was released from the factory collection in 2008. Standard markings, box numbered to the gun and papers.

Excellent. The pistol retains 99% plus original blue finish showing some slide wear on the right side. The box is very good condition with edge, some separation on the flaps and a couple of pieces of clear tape are on the end label. An excellent pistol with great provenance for the collector.
