Manufactured in 1953, this Colt Government Model was a sample and display pistol kept by the Colt factory as confirmed by the included factory letter. The letter confirms the caliber, barrel length, grips and finish. The pistol was release from the factory inventory in 2008. It has standard slide markings, blade and notch sights, high polished and matte blue finishes and checkered grips with the circled Rampant Colt logo.

Very good. The pistol retains 90% original blue finish showing some minor spotting on top of the slide and numerous handling/storage marks overall. The magazine is absent. The grips are fine showing some scattered minor handling marks with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
