Manufactured in 1954. Single bead sight on the matte, vent rib barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers, selective auto ejectors, and modified/full chokes. The coin finished receiver features finely executed Grade III engraving of pheasants on the right and fighting gamecocks on the left. Each side is signed by FN Master Engraver Felix Funken just below the game scenes. The balance features tight scroll designs and scalloped line borders. The underside is engraved with the bust of a retriever dog with a bird in its mouth. Single gold washed trigger and tang mounted safety/selector switch. Mounted on a checkered forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a vented Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. The barrel and stock dimensions are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .726/.726 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .052/.052 inches; drop at comb 1 1/2 inch; drop at heel 2 inch; length of pull 13 3/4 inch.

Very good with 85% of the original thinning blue finish remaining. Small scratches and dings throughout, mild muzzle wear, and moderate surface spotting are present on the barrels. The receiver exhibits some mild surface spotting, and handling marks mostly on the trigger guard and trigger. The wood is good with small indentations and gouges throughout, worn checkering, and crazing of the varnish on the butt where it was trimmed and the recoil pad added. Mechanically excellent.
